Great News! Nayla Al Khaja has agreed to give us full support for the promotion of "in support of Peace One Day" . (http://www.naylaalkhaja.com)
Nayla is a young powerhouse Emirati woman, full of incredible energy . I wish there were more Naylas out there!
She has been so touched by Jeremy's commitment and by what we, as a group of friends, are trying to do here, that she immediately agreed to support our cause and to take this forward. We feel really blessed that she has decided to get involved, as this will give us the local exposure we were looking for!
Nayla runs a non profit film club called the Scene Club www.thesceneclub.com
The objective of the club is to promote dialogue and peace among people through film. She brings over 200 nationalities to meet every last Thursday of the month. Her club is very successful and is packed on every single occasion as it is the only one of its type in the country. That means 470 seats, that means 470 people getting to know about the 21st of September and hopefully helping us spreading the word!!!
I brought to her Jeremy's films recently, after she viewed them she called me straight back. She is absolutely thrilled at the idea of screening the "Peace One Day" film next Thursday, the 27th of August 2009. This is unbelievable news!!!!!
Nayla always gets a lot of media attention and is very well known to local influential political figures.
After the "Peace One day" Film our small TVC will be shown as well!
Since Nayla's involvement last week...we have already received the interest of 3 ambassadors (Italian, SA and Argentinean) and we are hoping to get at least 6 more. We will also be filming a few other influential political people message of Peace and if they agree we will be uploading their messages on to our website peaceday.ae
The Rotary Club of Jumeirah
Nayla is also the ambassador of women empowerment through Olay and a board member of Rotary Foundation Jumeriah Club and that is how I was invited last night to speak about the 21st of September at the Rotary Club of Jumeirah...my first speech to an audience ever!
It went really well and have already got the support of a few of their members.
So much so that they have already donated quite a sum, to help us with whatever money we need for printing flyers etc. for the events of the 27th of August and 21st of September... Yeyyyy!
